The WPM ZP-1 is a sensational coffee grinder. The ZP-1 is just so precisely engineered and so solidly built. The WPM ZP-1 (and Domus) are the "Apple" or “Rolex” of planar burr single dose coffee grinders.

It’s difficult to explain just how good this grinder is with words. This is the sort of grinder that needs to be seen and touched. When it comes to the actual performance this is grinder is amazing. Grind retention is low (~0.2g) and that’s without bellows. Bellows are simply not needed with this grinder. Coffee grind is consistent, clump free, and tidy (mess free) due to anti-static technology.

When it comes to espresso in the cup the WPM ZP-1 is amazing as well. The burrs give a clean espresso with a symphony of clear "notes." A good way to think of it is to compare with speakers. A cheap set of speakers will give a blended sound whilst a great set of speakers will give clarity and let you hear all of the “notes.” If you are an espresso enthusiast this is your grail grinder.

I very highly recommend the WPM ZP-1. However, I generally recommend the WPM Domus as I personally grind at full RPM so I don’t see the need for variable speed grinding, and the WPM Domus will grind at full RPM at a lower price point. The WPM Domus is an amazing bargain.
